As a driver/guide, your primary objective is to safely operate a motorcoach and to conduct narrated bus tours, while representing our 4 core values: Safety, Quality, Teamwork, and Environmental Responsibility.

For select candidates, we will provide paid-CDL training in one of winter/spring training programs. For applicants in Idaho, Utah, and Washington, we have part time CDL training programs that are catered to your school and work schedules. These classes begin in January and run through the beginning of the touring season in May. For those unable to attend these classes we have an Alaskan training program beginning in April.
For experienced drivers with CDL’s, we offer premium pay and priority divisional placement.
GETTING HERE & GETTING AROUND
It is the employee's responsibility to make their own travel arrangements to/from their division of employment. Once at the division, it is the employee's responsibility to get themselves to/from work on time. We also recommended employees consider bringing a bike or driving a car up to Alaska for the summer.
Who doesn’t love a bonus? With the successful completion of a contract at the end of the season:
All employees are eligible for a contract completion bonus
Driver/guides are eligible for a safety bonus
Driver/guides are also provided with a $250 travel bonus, each way, to offset travel costs to/from their division of employment.
ROOM & BOARD
Alaska Coach Tours guarantees employee housing for driver/guides in all four Alaska divisions. For those who opt to stay in company housing, a flat daily rate is deducted from each paycheck. What’s Included…
