  • Are you an Alaskan company?
    Yes, Alaska Coach Tours is owned and operated by Alaskans. We have offices in Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka and Skagway.

  • Do you operate the tour?
    Yes! We operate the majority of the Alaska tours that we offer. We have over 85 motorcoaches in Alaska. For the trip portions we don't operate directly, we work with trusted Alaskan operators in each of the communities, keeping everything 100% local.

  • Do you have staff to meet us?
    Yes, a staff member working with your tour will greet you at the tour's meeting location. You will also be provided with a telephone number in your reservation confirmation to access staff the day of your tour in case of emergency.

  • What are your days/hours of operation?
    The summer tour season is from May through September. Since we work with several cruise lines, for individuals or small groups that are looking for seats on one of our tours, please be sure to make your reservations in advance.

  • Do you offer group and/or private tours?
    Yes, for groups of 25 or more, we can schedule your tour for any day of the week.

  • Do your tours always operate or will they cancel if there isn't enough passengers?
    We are proud to say our tours are considered "Guaranteed Departures." This means all our tours will operate regardless of the counts.

  • When should I book my tour?
    You should book your tour as soon as possible to ensure your space is reserved. Tours can fill up fast, so booking early is highly recommended.

  • What happens if the cruise ship we are on cancels the port of call?
    If you cruise ship cancels the port of call, you will receive a full refund.

  • What is your weather like?
    The weather in southeast Alaska is quick to change. It may be raining in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. Or it can rain all day long. Dress in layers and make sure to bring a warm jacket. While the locals may find the weather warm, you may want to think about bringing your hat & gloves, just in case. And don't forget your sunglasses!

  • What is your cancellation policy?
    A full refund will be given up to 30 days prior to departure. A 50% refund will be issued within 14 days of tour departure. No refund will be issued should the tour be cancelled within 3 days of departure. Should a guest fall ill within 30 days of departure and exhibit Covid-19 symptoms, a full refund for that guest will be issued with no penalties.
